But do not worry about the color too much. Just buy the ones that are on sale. They appear to only differ in color. You will need to put a crib sheet over the mattress - because accidents happen. And while you can remove and wash the outer layer of the mattress, it is not very practical. Where does the baby sleep when you wash and dry it? So, buy the Nook mattresses that are on sale, do not worry about the color and spend the extra $150-$200 on a Nook crib sheet in the color and theme you like. You can literally put your mouth directly on the mattress and breathe straight through it! Awesome! Try doing that with a cheap plastic mattress and the difference is scary. I will warn you it is very heavy but manageable. I too purchased this mattress on sale and spent the rest of my money on two fitted sheets and the toddler pillow. They are super soft and wash after wash have not pilled up. Highly recommend if you can afford. One thing to consider on cost- this mattress is the same size as a toddler bed mattress. You can have your child sleep on it until they grow too tall! I'm thinking that will be 4-5 years old. |
