I was hesitant to purchase this bike seat as it did not have any reviews but I liked the fact that it had the handle bars for the baby to hold on to and it was reasonably priced for the short time priod she would be able to use it. My baby, Samantha, loved it! The seat was not too difficult to install once we finally identifed the correct Allen wrenches. I'm going to give this five stars because the only thing that's wrong with it, can't really be avoided, but can be "adjusted"The one I have is GIANT brand, which by looking, is the SAME exact thing as this one. take a look at the photo I provided with my kid sitting in it. this particular seat is floating around under several brands. I had the local bike shop install it for me, and it came with a rack, which I like. it's super easy to use, and I don't have an issue taking it off and putting it back on. I know this seat has a weight limit, but to be honest, I go with height and not weight. when my kid looks like he needs an upgrade to a 50 lb seat, I'll upgrade. The only bad thing I have to say is that when my son falls asleep, his neck droops and his head kind of flops around. it doesn't affect him at all, but it looks a little suspect and people on the street ask, "is he ok?" lol. I am going to try and battle this issue in the future by getting him a neck... I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. I purchased this and had the bike shop put it together on my simple 7 beach cruiser and everything is great. My feet don't touch my babies when I pedal, he has plenty of room and is comfortable. I'm 5'11'' and my son is off the charts for height and he's not even two yet. I'm glad he has enough room on this carrier and that my feet don't touch his when I pedal.Pros: Fit great to my beach cruiser, I like the light grey color, sturdy, easy to use, good quality. Cons: I'm not a huge fan of the buckle system, you have to loosen it a lot before it goes over their head, then tighten it back up again. It's not hard to do just a little bit of a pain. |
